I've been super busy lately and haven't gotten time or my technology to actually write in this blog. but I'm trying to catch up. so day four was Tuesday the 8th. it was our first day of Italian language class, with irena. we leaned the Italian alphabet, how to count to 20, and some other random words. class went from 10-1pm. the main thing we learned was how to order a beer or wine at a restaurant , but the funny thing was we learned it with how to say good morning and to order a bear, guess they don't have the no drinks before 12 rule here! after we leaned it, we had to go to the local resturany that is getting to recognize us, and order something like a cafe or a sandwich. then I got a samdwhich, which is called a pinnini. we stoped at a church hole walking to class, I can't remember which one,...maybe st Agnes? we were given free time to walk around, until our Italian cooking class at 5:30. we went to a new spot in northern tresevere (the neighborhood we are staying in) and window shopped. Kate and Renee bought clothes at Chopin. really cute, the we stumbled upon the open market. and was trying to talk to some fruit seller. and somehow ended up paying for strawberries. but they were the best strawberries in the world. yummy. we were very proud of ourselves for switching metro buses and finding out way home. we also stopped at the supermarket to get food. Renee broke and dropped a bottle of spagetti sauce. it was interestingly hilarious! ;) cooking class was AMAZING!!! ;) FYI. our teacher was Andre (sigh + smiley face).we made from scratch noodles in the shape of square rhombus. and the sauce had tomatoes and eggplant and other spices. I was in charge of the eggplant. which was surprisingly good. although I kinda Burnt it. :( I also cut the noodles. and made the fun shapes! we also had a beef and pepper with these giant pees!!! :) which were really good raw. dessert was terramasue again, but we made all of this, cut them, washed, cooked and put into piles. :) we also had wine with our meal. everyone pretty much drinks wine at every meal. it's very interesting. we were all sooo full after that meal. we all came home to crash after that. so onto the next day! the picture is of my group and all of our ready to cook pasta!
